It is difficult dealing with any group you do not know
Here are some tips that can help
1.Try not to make judgements about people you do not know. Remember, every friend you have ever had was once a stranger
2.Give other people a chance to make friends with you. Not everyone can make friends and be trusting as easily as others. We all have our own pace
3.Realize that this is a temporary situation. Classes will come and go in your life. Some will be full of friends, while others will not. It's all part of life
4.Remember that a class is a learning place. The primary reason for being there is to learn. Don't let anything or anyone keep you from your goals
5.Know that you will find yourself in this situation many times in your life. How you react and handle the situation now will help you handle many unpleasant situations in the future
6.Also remember that everyone feels like that once in a lifetime. Nobody makes friends in a glance
7.Get to know your classmates' interests. Do they like sports? Music? Watching television? If you have the same interests with somebody, try to befriend him/her
8.Get good grades. Don't be the class failure, everybody will look down at you. You want to make them realise you are a special person, so you have to show that you're clever
