    A King And The Fisherman

It is a very nice story I have read this evening, So I liked to share it with you

Once upon a time there was a fisherman who caught a beautiful fish. He brought it to the king and said to him, "your majesty, I am a poor man but I have brought you a small gift. It would be very nice if you could accept it

The king saw the fish and was so much moved that he gave one thousand gold coins to the poor fisherman. The queen was sitting next to him and was furious with the king. She said, "are you mad to give this semi naked fisherman 1000 gold coins just for a small fish like this?i

The king said, "But I have already given it to him and there isn't much I can do." The queen said, "Call him back and ask him what gender is the fish, is it a male or a female. If he says its a male, tell him to take it back because you prefer to have a female fish. And if he says its a female, tell him you preferred to have a male. And get your 1000 gold coins back

The king called the fisherman back and asked him this question. The fisherman said, "Your majesty, do you think I am daft to bring you an ordinary fish? This fish is unique in the sense that it is neutral i.e. it's neither male nor female

The king was so impressed with this answer that he him gave another 1000 gold coins. Naturally her majesty felt even worse now

As the poor fisherman got near the gate of the palace, he started searching something all over the place. The queen said to her husband, "I have seen mean people but nothing like this fisherman. He's got 2000 gold coins, and still he's greedy searching for one coin that he's dropped somewhere in the bush. Will you call him and ask him what's the problem?'i

The king called the fisherman back and asked him if everything was o.k. The fisherman said that he'd lost one of his gold coins and was searching it all over the place

The king said, "But look here, you've got so many gold coins now. What difference does it make if one coin is lost?i

Fisherman: "your majesty, money is not the problem. Even before you gave me these gold coins, I still survived. And if you take them back, I am still going to survive".i

King: "so then why are searching this one piece of gold coin?"i

Fisherman: "you see your majesty, I just thought that how kind and compassionate are you. The coin bears your picture and I cannot imagine someone stepping on it. It would be a great insult to you. And that is why I am trying to find this coin".i

His majesty was even more flattered and gave him another one thousand GOLD COINS

This is the beauty of knowledge
